Workshop motivation and description
Big city centers are subjected to a growing amount of people and vehicle mobility, making the control and security management increasingly difficult.
In the last decades, there has been a dramatic increase in demand for smart systems capable of monitoring traffic and street safety and automatically detect possible problems (accidents, traffic jam, brawls…) in order to elicit and support the intervention of law enforcement agencies or medical staff.
It is goal of this Workshop to provide a comprehensive evaluation to state-of-the-art on systems devoted to city and traffic security.
The workshop will be held in conjunction with the Challenge on Advanced Traffic Monitoring, a challenge devoted to the improvement of vehicle detection and tracking algorithms.
Prospective authors can contribute in 2 different modalities:
- Submit high-quality full papers presenting original results in all areas of traffic and street surveillance. Each paper will be double blind reviewed by three experts
- Partecipate to the challenge proposing innovative solutions. Authors must submit the computed results and a paper illustrating the employed method. Paper associated with results over the challenge baselines will be considered accepted.
